OOTD: Wardrobe Essentials

Imagine how you would feel if you looked this put together everyday! What if when you woke up in the morning you only had to worry about hair and possibly makeup? I’m not there yet but this I what I hope to achieve by continuing to add quality wardrobe essentials to my closet. Sammi is wearing classic pieces that easily mix and match to achieve beautiful looks with minimal effort. You can recreate this look with ease,Enjoy!

Buy Vs. DIY

I was out browsing stores when I came across this beauty at Kirklands. It was on clearance for around $10. It’s a wonderful way to organize your jewelry. It hangs in the closet so it is out of sight. The individual zippers and pockets mean less clutter and reorganizing later down the line. I even put buttons that have come off of clothing in there so they don’t get lost.

I think with little effort I could make something like this but why spend time and energy on a DIY project that could be tedious when it’s beautifully made already for $10 bucks! (I got the G monogram for our last name just in case the hubs ever wants to store his jewelry in here.)

Enjoy!

OOTD:Classic Black

You can’t go wrong with black. Black is timeless and classic. In the words of my friend Sammi, “I could wear black everyday.”(I know so many others feel this way too!) This outfit is easy, comfortable and casual but is still very stylish. Her sweater introduces another classic color (white) to create a chevron pattern which adds just enough interest to make you do a double take. Check her out on Instagram for more style inspiration and other effortless ways to wear black.

OOTD: Pure Comfort

All I cared about on this day was being 100% comfortable and cozy. I didn’t exactly want to wear sweat pants but I also didn’t want to wear real pants. Lol The next best thing is leggings!!! I can’t get enough of these textured leggings. The texture adds a special detail to something that has been done to death. Then all I needed was a shirt that was long enough to cover my bum. Add a sweater and light boot to complete the comfy look. Enjoy!

OOTD: Winter White❄️

I love how timeless and minimal black and white is so I wear it all the time. There are also some very classic, masculine elements to a leather crop jacket. I combined almost everything I love into this outfit including a leopard print belt. It was like wearing lingerie under your clothing. My lovely leopard print belt was hidden but I knew it was there and it put a smile on my face when I thought about it. Lol
Later in the day I took off my crop jacket and put on my cozy cream “grandma” sweater. It was just more comfortable to teach and move around in the sweater. I loved the look equally with either one. I’d love to see your take on this classic/minimal/masculine winter white outfit! Enjoy!
