Flowers + Stripes | OOTD

If  you’re looking for a funky way to mix stripes and floral prints then I’m here to help! This OOTD is so fun because this combination is a bit unexpected. The trick to making this look work for you is making sure the base color of both your pieces are the same. The v-neck top is black with white stripes and the skirt is black with floral print. Because they have that black base in common they don’t conflict with each other. For the shoe I chose a comfortable sneaker that brings out the coral floral print in the skirt. Everything about this look ties in together. You could probably guess that I got this entire look from Old Navy, enjoy!

Stripes + Polka Dots

I seriously have a big place in my heart for the colors black and white. That place gets even bigger when I find black and white stripes or polka dots. For this look I mashed up both of my favorites for an easy casual look.

You may be wary of mixing stripes and polka dots but this works because both of the prints are small. From a distance it even looks like I’m just wearing black pants and a gray top but when you get a bit closer you can see that it’s patterned. The top is an over sized tank that is perfect for keeping cool. The pants are cropped and have a relaxed fit as well. This OOTD is a perfect no fuss look for a casual lunch with friends or even a movie. I like to have shoe options so you can compliment this OOTD with a heel or go for your chucks. Either way, you’ll look great. (Headed to work for a few hours? Just throw on a blazer!)

What’s your favorite casual look? Leave me a comment with the details. Enjoy!

Polka Dot Shirt Dress | OOTD

Let’s talk polka dots!!! What’s better than black and white polka dots? Nothing!!! Ha ha!

I found this adorable polka dot shirt dress at Zirze Boutique in Vilnius, Lithuania while I was on vacation a few weeks ago. It was just right for me and I knew it the moment I laid eyes on it. Not too long, not too short, light, airy and it can easily help my wardrobe transition to fall. All wins for me!

For some fun pops of color I paired a red-orange fold over cross body bag and red-orange Vince Camuto shoes. Not to forget red-orange lip color. I’m usually not so match-matchy but this just felt right. Leave me a comment about your favorite pop of color, enjoy!

Fall Fringe +Lace | OOTD

I know it’s still very warm in Houston but  have cooler thoughts and start thinking about fall. Stores are rolling out their fall collections and I couldn’t pass this one up. This is my favorite fall look from Banana Republic right now.

This top spices up basic black by adding lace and fring details to the sleeves as well as the front. I normally wouldn’t go for fringe that goes right accross my chest but the placement on this shirt is just right. This top actually has an a-line shape so it will look great half tucked or left completely out.

The pants are the Logan fit from BR and I love how comfy they are. They have a very classic feel and cut. This color is so fun I couldn’t pass it up! I think this citron pant is the perfect pop of color to help transition to fall. Leave me a comment about what looks you’re crushing on for fall, Enjoy!

Floral Maxi Shirt Dress | OOTD

There’s nothing more beautiful than floral blooms in spring and summer. So when I had a chance to wear them on my body I couldn’t pass it up. I picked this beauty up at Melodrama Boutique in Houston, Tx. Taking it on my Europe trip was a no brainier because it comfortable, bright, and airy. That’s exactly what you want to take on a long vacation.

The weather Tallinn was perfect for a Texan that’s used to 100+ degrees temperatures but the nights got a little chilly so I brought along my denim jacket from Old Navy.

Leave me a comment and tell me what was your favorite vacation piece this summer, enjoy!
