Thank you Ann Taylor for sponsoring this spring look!
Adding a new and interesting piece to your wardrobe can be one of the best ways to spruce it up for spring. Along with beautiful spring colors, I like to add classic pieces with a twist! This short trench coat checks all of the boxes for a wonderful new addition to your current wardrobe.
The styling possibilities are infinite but I’m showing you one really classic way to style a short trench coat. What makes it simple is that for this look you only need one other piece, a classic dress! This dress comes in a pretty spring yellow and has a lovely scalloped square neck for added interest. What’s even more exciting is the color of the trench. We can all appreciate the neutral tones that trench coats typically come in but this pink really pops!
Last but certainly not least is these color blocked suede sling back heels to really add pizazz to an already fun look! This look is perfect for Easter Sunday but best believe, each piece can be styled in a totally different way too! I can’t wait to see how you style it.
I’m always on the hunt for beauty products that make a lasting impact. It’s no secret that Japanese beauty products have been the rave for quite some time. I’m betting that this idea is so popular because j-beauty products have some of the best results.
So far I love it!! You start the process by massaging emollient oils into your skin and then rinsing them away. Starting with oil could remove sebum, dirt, sunscreen and other things that our skin encounters during the day. All the grime is gone from your skin but it won’t leave your skin dry! Once that’s rinsed off you follow up with a foaming cleanser. Work up a light lather between your hands with the foaming cleanser. It will gently lift an impurities while maintaining your skins natural moisture.
This double cleansing ritual comes from an older Japanese regimen of removing makeup but it does more than just remove makeup—it also nourishes and hydrates the skin.
After this regimen my skin is truly prepared for toner, serums, and to be moisturized. Let me know how this DHC double cleansing method works for you! Enjoy Color Bees!
Going green has a new meaning this spring! Ann Taylor has some amazing new arrivals that focuses on beautiful green hues just in time for a closet refresher! I like that the emerald collection has something for everyone. There are prints & patterns that pair beautifully with solids. From jumpers, to skirts and pants, you can go green in so many ways!
The icing on the cake is that this look could be another spring look if you just remove the skirt. I like to make sure that my wardrobe works hard for me so layering and creating new looks with pieces from my closet is a must. It’s great to have as many fashion options as possible so this is one way to achieve that goal. Enjoy Color Bees!
Getting into the full swing of spring was easy once I figured out where to go! When my sister came into town from Ethiopia I wanted to take her to have a relaxing girls day. I knew I had to take her toRiver Oaks Shopping Center.
We arrived before noon and there was plenty of parking. We all know that’s a win! We were able to grab a coffee to take with us atStarbucksas we shopped at some of our favorite stores. We found some coordinating magic atAnn Taylor!
When my sister and I were younger she hated that my mom would dress us alike, of course, I always loved it! I talked my sister into this coordinating look fromAnn Taylorand she was surprisingly happy with it!
After shopping we went and grabbed a lunch on the go fromStarbucksbefore we got a nice simple manicure fromNail Time. We opted for simple manicures with no color because it’s easy to keep color on your nails during Spring and Summer without giving your nails a rest.
It was so nice to spend quality time with my sister, get some sun shine while shopping and having a nice coffee and lunch on the go. I can’t wait until our next adventure inRiver Oaks Shopping Center.
