Floral Bomber | OOTD

We’re about to “fall” into “spring” “weather” we want to or not. (See what I did there?!?! Lol) I’ve taken a proactive step by getting my hands on this floral bomber before it’s too late. I love this because it says spring, but is not too bright. The black back ground color helps to keep that in check. I took it a step further by adding in a floral top that isn’t quite a busy as the bomber.

An OOTD would not be the same from me if I didn’t touch on the bold/edgy element of a look. In this look, it’s the color block pleated skirt and converse combo. If it were not for the black background in the bomber and shirt, I’m not completely sure that this would still gel as well. The cherry on top is my round retro mirrored sunglasses. They will take you right through spring into summer.

Plaid Off The Shoulder Dress | OOTD

This plaid off the shoulder dress makes me feel like a complete bad ass! I feel like I’m draped in something bold which is what I live for. At first glance, this plaid off the shoulder dress just looks like it’s just, well, um, plaid! Ha ha! However, the details make this dress. Unlike most off the shoulder dresses I’ve seen, there are cool buttons down the center of the front. There is also separation of the draped fabric in the front, allowing for more movement in the dress. Now when I wear this dress I feel like I’m moving fluidly through out my day.

Last but most definitely not least is adding in the shoes and accessories. Like many of my style decisions, I ended up pair my absolute favorite pair of sneakers with this dress. You can never go wrong with Chuck Taylor’s. A faux leather jacket, sunnies, and a faux leather cross body purse and your’e unstoppable.

Leave me a comment to let me know what you think of this look. Enjoy!

Bold Holiday Look | OOTD

We are well into the holiday season which means there are a few more holiday parties to hit. Why not step outside of the box a bit more for your holiday party look? One of my favorite quotes is, “People will stare, make it worth their while” , and this look matches that idea. The cool thing about this look is that I didn’t really have to purchase anything new. All of these pieces were already living in my closet with the exception of my fun new purse.

I like things that are a little unexpected so I went ALL IN with my head wrap. I see women wear head wraps often but how many times have you seen one fabulously styled with a sequins dress at a holiday party? !? I can’t say that I have. Lol

I wore this sequins dress to my blog anniversary party back in October. The great thing about this black and white sequins dress is that it translates to so many occasions. That’s the beauty of classic colors. I thrifted this red 3/4 sleeve  coat nearly a year ago and I’ve finally been about to break it out. The details on this coat are amazing and its the perfect pop of color. This pop of color/contrast can be in any color and it would have the same effect.

This look could easily be overwhelming and “too much” but because everything is black & white except for the coat, everything fits right into place. The only thing left to do is put on a red lip and grab a fun purse.

Leave me a comment about your favorite bold look for the holidays. Enjoy!
