White One Piece Swimsuit

I love this simple white swimsuit because with just a few cool accessories you can make your pool/beach look unforgettable and effortless. When you go to the beach you want it to be a care free experience so you don’t necessarily want to take your coveted accessories to be lost, damaged or stolen. To fix that problem, minimize the items your bring or wear to the water.

The first way I styled this white swimsuit is with may favorite red lip, and yellow acrylic sunglasses. That’s it! I will most likely wear my sunglasses so I don’t have much to loose yet this is still a styled look.

The second way I styled this white one piece swimsuit is with a very stylish pair of cat eye sunglasses (won’t loose them because they’ll be on my face) and some fun popsicle earrings. With this styling I only have one thing I need to seriously keep up with and I can hang on to one pair of earring while I’m on a trip to the water.

No matter which one I choose, I still look stylish and fashionable with minimal effort. That’s always a goal of mine. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about this look. As always, enjoy!

Industrial Summer Floral

If you’re wondering why I look so happy in this first shot, it’s because I thrifted most of this look and it only cost me about $10 bucks!

I’m always thinking about how much money I spend on clothing. I can’t not shop so the answer to my shopping situation is to spend significantly less money on my clothing. The inspiration behind this look was bring summer floral to the industrial city. This was perfectly captured at Winter Street Studios in Houston, Tx.

For this look I wanted something loose and airy, yet my love for mixing prints and having a pop of color is always there. The key to making this look work was choosing two different prints with a color in common that does nott compete with each other. My skirt is red with a small print that you can’t see very well from a distance. The top has a pretty even spread of several colors but the pops of red flowers make it a perfect match for the skirt.

To accent another color from my floral top, I used a turquoise/blue tassel earring to bring out more colors. For my shoes I put on my comfortable white converse. I have had them for sometime and I’m sure I should wash them soon but part of me looks at the wear and tear like seasoning. My converse get a bit better every time I wear them.

Leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite part of this look is. Enjoy!

Blue Hues with mywalit | OOTD

When you love color the way I do, you want it in every part of your life. It’s not always easy to find the perfect “thing” to cure your color cravings but when you do, it feels like it is heaven sent! I got this amazing matching purse and wallet sponsored from my amazing friends at mywalit.

Founded in 2005 in Lucca, Italy, mywalit is known for its colorful leather wallets, bags, coin purses and handbags. From vibrant stripes to fun color blocking, mywalit has you covered. When I styled this look I kept close to hues of blue simply not to overwhelm the eye. I love color but if done the wrong way it can just be too much. I wanted to incorporate prints into this look so the blues and whites came together beautifully as to not distract the eye too much.

To add a little unexpected pop to my first look I wore my favorite red lip and a coral earring. This provides some contrast and interest with out disturbing the cool hues of blue. In my second look I pulled in more colors from my purse. With my shorts and earrings bringing out the teals and turquoise in my wallet and bag, it kept the electric feel of this look.

Using your purse and wallet to bring more interest to your style is so much fun! Go to mywalit.com and get a fun colorful purse to add to your wardrobe. Enjoy!

Retro Floral | Outfit of the Day

Sometimes when I thrift shop I find nothing. Other times it is obvious that the thrift gods are on my side. I was able to get this beautiful print for less than $5 from a resale shop. To make things even better, I got these wide leg high rise jeans from Target for about $9. I’ve had these wedge sandals for about three years (but they came from target) and my friends over at Charming Charlie hooked me up with the accessories. My necklace, sunglasses and tote was sponsored by Charming Charlie.

Not only is this look super comfortable, the retro vibes feel really good.
