Upgrade Your Denim with Ann Taylor

We all know skinny jeans are a wardrobe staple for men and women alike. If we’re going to have them in heavy rotation in our closets, shouldn’t they be the best? By the best I mean the perfect wash, uber comfortable AND holds their shape ALL DAY! Ann Taylor gave us some major upgrades in their skinny fit and it is beyond amazing.

We have all started our morning in the perfect pair of skinnies only to find by noon that we have baggy knee syndrome. With maximum stretch and recovery your skinnies from Ann Taylor will look fresh all day long.

For this Ann Taylor look I wanted a fun brunch look. Skinny denim is a no brainer but my double V knit top is the icing on the cake. It’s an amazing pop of orange color and the sliver of pink on the hem and sleeves is just so sweet.

I’m always looking for ways to add in textures, prints, and patterns and I was able to do that with my accessories. Ann Taylor’s floral statement earrings have so much dimension and texture. They help take my classic look to another level. To take this look up another notch, I added in a leopard fold over clutch. Lastly, a pair of multi colored striped wedge shoes sealed the deal.

When ever you feel like taking your classic look to new heights be sure that you have on your best Ann Taylor denim and spice it up with unique accessories. Enjoy!

White One Piece Swimsuit

I love this simple white swimsuit because with just a few cool accessories you can make your pool/beach look unforgettable and effortless. When you go to the beach you want it to be a care free experience so you don’t necessarily want to take your coveted accessories to be lost, damaged or stolen. To fix that problem, minimize the items your bring or wear to the water.

The first way I styled this white swimsuit is with may favorite red lip, and yellow acrylic sunglasses. That’s it! I will most likely wear my sunglasses so I don’t have much to loose yet this is still a styled look.

The second way I styled this white one piece swimsuit is with a very stylish pair of cat eye sunglasses (won’t loose them because they’ll be on my face) and some fun popsicle earrings. With this styling I only have one thing I need to seriously keep up with and I can hang on to one pair of earring while I’m on a trip to the water.

No matter which one I choose, I still look stylish and fashionable with minimal effort. That’s always a goal of mine. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about this look. As always, enjoy!

Industrial Summer Floral

If you’re wondering why I look so happy in this first shot, it’s because I thrifted most of this look and it only cost me about $10 bucks!

I’m always thinking about how much money I spend on clothing. I can’t not shop so the answer to my shopping situation is to spend significantly less money on my clothing. The inspiration behind this look was bring summer floral to the industrial city. This was perfectly captured at Winter Street Studios in Houston, Tx.

For this look I wanted something loose and airy, yet my love for mixing prints and having a pop of color is always there. The key to making this look work was choosing two different prints with a color in common that does nott compete with each other. My skirt is red with a small print that you can’t see very well from a distance. The top has a pretty even spread of several colors but the pops of red flowers make it a perfect match for the skirt.

To accent another color from my floral top, I used a turquoise/blue tassel earring to bring out more colors. For my shoes I put on my comfortable white converse. I have had them for sometime and I’m sure I should wash them soon but part of me looks at the wear and tear like seasoning. My converse get a bit better every time I wear them.

Leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite part of this look is. Enjoy!

Retro Floral | Outfit of the Day

Sometimes when I thrift shop I find nothing. Other times it is obvious that the thrift gods are on my side. I was able to get this beautiful print for less than $5 from a resale shop. To make things even better, I got these wide leg high rise jeans from Target for about $9. I’ve had these wedge sandals for about three years (but they came from target) and my friends over at Charming Charlie hooked me up with the accessories. My necklace, sunglasses and tote was sponsored by Charming Charlie.

Not only is this look super comfortable, the retro vibes feel really good.

Coffee Graphic T-Shirt | Outfit of the Day

Most Mondays make you wish it was Sunday again. If you wear the right shirt on Monday morning, no one will approach you unless they see your coffee cup in your hand. (Lol) This OOTD is based around a fun graphic t-shirt sponsored by ToSave.com. A good graphic t-shirt never goes out of style and here’s why. If you love or connect with something enough to wear it on your chest all day then it’s your “thing”, so you should feel comfortable going for it! Graphic t-shirts are can also be a fun light hearted way to show your interest to the would and possibly connect silently with others who read it. Want an easy way to make new friends?
