Getting ready for fall is as easy as swinging by Ann Taylor for the best pieces in beautiful fall colors. I’ve partnered with Ann Taylor to show you a beautiful combination of unexpected colors (fuchsia and plum!)
Fuchsia and plum!!! Who would have thought that they would pair so well together?!? Ann Taylor got it right and I’m in love with this combo. The richness of the plum acts as a “neutral” and the the fuchsia is the pop of color.
If you are in the beginning stages of branching out in your styling and color choices, this look is a great place to start. The top is a plum double breasted blazer with room to move around but still sort of tailored. The bottoms are a plum wide leg trouser that fits comfortably at the waist. Since the color of the suit is so rich I decided to bring in some bright bold color with a pair of fuchsia sling back heels. I also enjoy a great pair of statement sunglasses. Ann Taylor totally has me covered with these pink rimmed cat eye sunglasses. They come in more colors too for those who love the shape but may want them in black.
I’m excited that this look is so versatile. It can be worn together or as separates. This can be for fall weddings, work wear, and can be a fun girls night out look too! You can already see that the possibilities are endless. Happy shopping & enjoy color bees!
We are so close to the beginning of the school year. Some schools have already started and we are so ready! We’ve partnered with Walmart to bring you some super cool fashion and style on a budget.
Grant’s head to toe look is all from Walmart. His t-shirt and over shirt came in a convenient set of two and have a fun print and graphic on it. His pants come in other colors and are nicely cuffed for added style. He had to have this Captain Marvel back pack and chose it personally. I picked his shoes out and I was so happy to hear him say that he felt like he could run very fast because his shoes feel light!
Now that Grant is all set up and was able to think about myself for a second and I found this beautiful yellow dress for myself. It’s so cool that it coordinates with with Grant’s outfit so that we can have a semi-twinning moment in our pictures. Let me know what you decide to get for your back to school fashion. Enjoy Color Bees!
It’s still warm in Houston but we can definitely start to think about fall fashion. I’m not giving up my sleeveless tops just yet but I’m starting to incorporate fall colors and prints into my wardrobe.
I love Ann Taylor’s classic Marina pant! It comes back in new colors and I’m excited every time. I got them in black because I will be able to wear them ALL fall long. I chose this polka dot top because large prints are in for fall. It’s sleeveless and has a nice criss crossed detail in the back. When it starts to cool down, I can grab a light sweater or even a blazer to layer over it and wear the same look! My snake print shoes are a beautiful fall color and print. They can be worn again and again as well through out this Houston fall.
Let’s start thinking about rich fall colors and prints Color Bees! Enjoy!
I’m partnering with Ann Taylor to show you some fun modern plaid styling!
We all love rich browns, blacks and plums that come with fall fashion but if you love color AND patterns like I do you will love the Modern Plain collection from Ann Taylor!
I’m totally obsessed with this plaid coat because I know there are so many styling options for it. I’m showing it styled in this blog post over a plaid dress which is even more fun. Print on print is my jam so I’m in heaven with this pairing.
I’m partnering with Gordmans for an amazingly special back to school initiative that I know you all are going to love! Gordmans always thrills me with exciting bargains without the hunt. The treasure are already in store for me.
As a teacher and mom, back to school time is special to me for so many reasons. It is a fresh start for students and teachers alike. Starting again means that the kiddos have probably out grown most of their wardrobe. Gordmans is a great destination for all of your back to school fashion, shoes, and accessory needs. While I was shopping for my son Grant, I even picked up a nice school approved outfit for myself. When you look good, you feel good right?!?!
Did you know that 13 million kids in the U.S. struggle with hunger? To help fuel their futures, Gordmansis offering thecutest Back to School products including the “I’m so extra” and “Guac On” lunch totes, the “Working on my Core” water bottle, and the “I’m Kind of a Big Dill” sports pack. How fun and witty! These are definitely great conversation starters for the first few days of school. Grant had to have the “I’m working on my core” water bottle for himself. He loved that it matched his new outfit from Gordmans and that it gave me a good giggle. Ha ha! My favorite turned out to be the “Guac On” lunch tote. Both Grant and I can use it and I’m a huge fan of all things avocado.
