OOTD| Less is more

If you’re working on your capsule wardrobe like I am then these staple pieces are a life saver when you need to find something casual to wear, but you don’t want to look “thrown away”. Ha ha! Put together this ootd with your white/gray chunky knit sweater, Cami, black jeans, and your sneakers. Sneakers with a pop of color add a little interest to the outfit. Enjoy!

101 Things in 1001 Days

Hello everyone! We are nearing the end of another year and with that comes traditional new year resolutions. I don’t typically make new year resolutions but I was inspired by one of my favorite blogs and one of my FB friends Jotina Buck to make this list. This list will help keep your goals right in front of you but gives you a little over 2 1/2 years to complete it. What I like about it most is that its not all serious. Fun and travel goals are included as well. I used this site to calculate my 1001 days from today. Enjoy!

Journey to fitness

Let me start by saying I’m completely ashamed that I HATE working out and I’m in terrible shape. ?My shame comes from my husband (Mike) being a world class personal trainer at Equinox in the new River Oaks shopping district. Anyone that finds out automatically assumes that he’s training me and I have to let them down everytime. Lol I have such a valuable resource living in my house and I have not been using it.

The day before thanks giving I followed my sister’s lead to get back on my fitness journey. My sister surprised my family and I by coming to HTX for thanksgiving after being in Asia for the last month. Although she’s been in Thailand she has remained active.

When she got here she said she wanted to train with Mike and encouraged me to join them. I hesitantly agreed, only to later decide in my mind that it was time for me to take my fitness more seriously. I joined my sister, brother, future SIL, and cousin for a pre-thanksgiving workout. Having company definitely made it easier to get started. Today was the day, 11-25-25, the day before Thankging, the day I begin again. Join me in my renewed dedication to a more fit life. Enjoy!

Comfy Thanksgiving OOTD

It’s Turkey day and you need to look presentable around your family and friends. Let’s face it, all we really care about is having loose pants so that we can scarf down a real Thanksgiving feast. Lol This OOTD is just perfect for making your holiday rounds.

You’ve seen me match this sweater with other pieces from my capsule wardrobe in another OOTD before. (Any dark sweater in your closet will do) Today it’s paired with boyfriend jeans that are naturally oversized and loose. This will be perfect for eating way too much and taking a nap once you’re in a food coma. (Ha ha) Leopard ballet flats and your favorite brown or black bag will tie the look together. Enjoy!
