I’m the creator of Beauty Disclaimer. I use #BeautyDisclaimer on my social posts to conspicuously disclose if I’m wearing makeup, if an image was edited and even if I’m wearing hair extensions. I never want anyone to feel less beautiful because of anything they see on my platforms. I’m all about authenticity, transparency and and helping others feel connected in our shared human experiences.
Soooo… why does is seem like your favorite online people don’t want you to know how they achieved a beauty look or what went in to creating something? Yes there are business secrets worth keeping but so much of it is basic. By basic I mean, a model posed “this way” to achieve a certain look. This make up was used to create a “no make up look”. This was the set or “circumstances” that made this campaign come to life.
The truth is, even effortless things, take effort. It could be on the back end or front end of something but it all takes thought. You can look forward to more insight on how all of this comes to life on AuthenticallyB.com.
