Simple White And Bold Gold | OOTD

First off I was able to wear this dress to an event without getting it completely filthy! (Yay for me) Next, this dress was so easy to wear it was almost like wearing pajamas. It is one of my favorite colors and was cool and airy for a humid Houston night. Outside of all the comfort, the details are what made me fall for this dress.

The top and sleeves of the dress has a mesh lattice effect that is a different texture than the bottom. At the hem the threads are loose and it almost looks like there are mini tassels hanging from the dress.

My gold accessories compliment the monochromatic color of the dress and are a real show stopper. It’s almost like you have to take in the gold collar necklace and cuff before you notice the details of the dress. They are big, chunky and bold; opposite of the dress. As a rule of thumb, I always pair a simple outfit with bold accessories and vise versa. The more extravagant the clothing, the simpler the jewelry.

Leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite bold accessories are! Enjoy!

Vintage Fourth of July | OOTD

Fourth of July is right around the corner. As you plan festivities for the day think about whether you want to wear the mundane Fourth of July Graphic tee AGAIN!

You can look great in red, white, and blue with a little vintage flare. Pair this top (or a similar top) with almost any bottom and you’re good to go. You’ll be cool, comfortable and stylish. An added bonus is you’ll be recycling and giving a vintage piece a new life.

Leave me a comment about how you plan to style your Fourth of July look. Enjoy!

The Power of Classics | OOTD

The first thing you need to know about this OOTD is that the dress I’m wearing belonged to my mother and is over 30 years old. My mom wore this dress to my dad’s prom when they were 18. At this time in my parents lives my three siblings and I were no where in the picture. That’s only funny because my dad constantly reminds me that at my age he already had four kids. Lol

This dress proves the power of classics. This creme color, and design will forever be relevant and in style. Next time you’re out shopping think about the ratio between classic staple pieces compared to trendy items. You’re wardrobe will last longer if you have a good set of basics to mix with trendier items. Enjoy!

OOTD | Stripes and Culottes

Let’s give looking fabulous on a budget its own moment! This entire look costed me about $25 and I felt beyond classy in it. Of course anything black, white and striped catches my attention but this outfit works so well because of the classic colors. If these pieces were in a variety of other colors it may not last very long but I predict they can be mixed and matched for seasons to come.

The jewelry is from my rocks box collection. I’m not a big jewelry person so I don’t purchase pieces often. Most of the jewelry I own is very simple and minimal so it definitely helps to know I will be getting something in the mail that I can style with my OOTD’s. Enjoy!

Natural, Wild and Free | OOTD

I couldn’t find a graphic t-shirt that truly described me so I designed a few myself. This OOTD is casual as I paired it with a pair of thrifted denim shorts and wedge heels. Just like a good pair of wedges this entire look is comfortable and easy to wear. I wore this OOTD to the Bloggers Union meeting where I enjoyed a nice seat in a beach chair on the floor. Lol (Truly comfy, ha ha)

The inspiration behind this design in based on the phrase “young, wild and free.” I just know I don’t have the choice to always be young but I  can make the choice to always be natural. Matching with my favorite colors to wear, this shirt comes in black, white, gray, and pale pink.

Leave me a comment about what the phrase “natural, wild and free” means to you, Enjoy!
