OOTD: Leopard and Bones☠

One of my many obsessions is leopard prints. This is one way to use it as a neutral piece to your wardrobe. All of these pieces were already in my closet except the leopard ballet flats. They’re fairly new because I just got rid of an old pair that  I had that I didn’t love as much. I’m very picky about the leopard prints that I choose. I tend to like a darker, richer print over a print with softer, lighter tones. When I saw these at one of my favorite stores (Target) I stopped looking. I really wish I had gotten a pair I truly loved to begin with. Now that I’m really focused when I shop I no longer settle for anything that is not EXACTLY what I want.

This OOTD is really flexible when it comes to body temperature and can help you stay warmer if you’re cold all the time (Like me) or as you warm up take off your graphic sweater and stay cool. Enjoy!

OOTD: Anniversary Edition ?

Mike (the hubs) and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary this week! (Woo Hoo!) He still hates saying that we’ve only been married for 3 years because we’ve been together for over 10 years and he thinks that “cheating the stature of our relationship”. Lol

We had dinner planned for saturday night and of course the first thing that comes to my mind is “I don’t have anything to wear!” I had planned and budgeted for a new pair of shoes this week so long as I truly loved them. I found a pair that I couldn’t live with out (on clearance at DSW) but was going to dinner naked (figuratively) because I still had “nothing to wear”. I also wanted something stretchy because I planned on pigging out! I strolled through the mall with every intention of buying something new until I came across this lovely jacket at express(first photo below) for $108. It sparked my memory and I remembered I had a jacket similar to that one from last season that did NOT cost me $108. I quickly put together comfortable and simple OOTD in my mind with clothes I already had. The color scheme really showed off my new shoes too! I guess trying to shop can send you right back to your own closet sometimes. 🙂 Enjoy this special OOTD!

1920’s Prohibition “SPEAKEASY” Party

The cottage that Mike (my husband) and I purchased in April was built in the 1920’s. My friend and realtor Julia Mickum knows I have a special place in my heart for old things and was kind enough to invite us to a 1920’s themed event benefiting the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation. The event was held in the Anson Aviation Aircraft hanger and was complete with 1920’s costumes, live music, dancing and yummy eats. We had a blast! Please enjoy my personal pictures from the event. Enjoy!
