Easy Black Dress|OOTD

I knew our day of sightseeing would be jam packed so I kept my outfit loose and simple so that I could be comfortable as I moved about my day. We started with breakfast at our hostel and a 2 hour walking tour of Vilnius. After that we had lunch and took a 45 minute train to Trakai where were are to see the castle complete with a draw bridge. We were able to shoot a bow and arrow as well as hang around in courtyard. It was beyond magical and definitely worth all the exhaustion.

For my outfit I wore what I would call a sack dress. Lol It has no shape to it and if I was home I would have probably put a belt on to help give it a bit more structure. For shoes I chose a really easy platform sandal made from yoga material. I walked about 8miles in my Sanuk yoga sandals and NOT ONCE did my feet hurt! To top it off I brought mytrusty  denim jacket just in case I got cold.

Leave me a message and tell me what outfit you wear when comfort in your top priority. Enjoy!

Off the Shoulder Stripes | OOTD

We finally set out to explore the city of Vilnius and boy was it fun! We hiked up to the Gedimino Tower and got the most amazing view of Old Town Vilnius. Everything was so beautiful it looked like it was from a story book.

My OOTD is an off the shoulder top that I already had and a new pair of classically cut pants from Houston Designer Steve Guthrie. When you’re moving around a lot you’ll want pants that can hold your stuff (deep pockets) and that will stay put (high rise). These were amazing for all the walking I did. I paired my trusty white converse with this ootd to keep it casual. The beauty of this look is that with a simple change of my shoe, it goes from casual to dressy if I need it to.

Leave me a comment about your favorite look that changes occasions easily with a shoe change. Enjoy!

Simple Prints | OOTD

At this point we all know this Houston summer will only get hotter so why not keep cool the way we used to when we were kids. Matching short sets!!! Some may also call it resort wear because it does give you that vacation feel. I can’t count how many my siblings and I had as kids. With two younger brothers and one older sister I bet my mom just wanted to keep things simple. It takes all the guess work out of getting dressed. You know you have a top and bottom with the same print so getting dressed is a breeze.

The hardest part about this look was choosing the print. I went for my favorite colors (black and white) and threw on my trusty wedges. All done! The leaf print just really makes me feel like I should be relaxing so I will be doing so on my sofa until my trip in July. Lol When it comes to fit the top is a crop style so it’s boxy and loose. The shorts are loose as well but have a high waist. This is good news for people like my who enjoy a good crop top but don’t want to show too much belly button. Just a little sliver of school is perfect.

Back to Basics | OOTD

You slept through your alarm or didn’t set it. You hit the snooze 4 times and now you’re going to be late! When you’re in a rush and you need to get out of the house quickly go back to your basics. Black, white, a crew neck t-shirt, and jeans always do the trick for me. I don’t have to worry about matching, other colors, or it being comfy. It’s all so easy and best of all, you can’t mess it up. Lol

Leave me a comment of what you grab out of your closet when you’re really short on time. Enjoy!

Mellow Yellow | OOTD

This outfit of the day was inspired by laziness! I had somewhere to go but because I’m on summer break, everyday feels like a t-shirt and jeans day to me. Rather than fight it, I went with it. I grabbed my most comfortable pair of mid-rise jeans from Old Navy and a fancier version of a t-shirt. I got this yellow top from H & M a year ago and honestly I haven’t worn it very much. It do really like the top and it came in handy. It has a nice delicate detail around the V-neck of the collar and an easy cap sleeve.  Although I look pulled together I felt very comfortable which was the goal. I threw on a pair of low comfy heels, grabbed my purse and was on my way.

Leave me a comment and let me know what your “go to” lazy day outfit is? Enjoy!
