High Waisted Push Up Bikini | Outfit Of The Day

If you’re looking for a high waisted push up bikini for this swim season I’ve found two that I think you’ll love from Zaful.com . You may remember my high waisted push up bikini from last swim season that came from Old Navy. I’ve remixed that same swimsuit  this year by simply adding a fun summer bananas graphic t-shirt over it to give it a new look.

Sometimes when you head out to the pool you can feel a bit exposed. You’re basically in your underwear so layering a cool t-shirt on top of your swim top could be the answer to feeling more clothed at the pool this summer. Leave me a comment about your favorite swim looks and ways to not feel so naked at the pool. Enjoy!

Spring Bomber & Strappy Cami | OOTD

This OOTD is all about transitioning to Spring! I’m so ready for it and I know you are too! You’ve seen this floral bomber styled in another OOTD but I love it so much that I decided to remix it again. You’ll being see this piece a lot this season since it’s so fun, bold, and versatile.

I love looks that  are bold and or edgy  with the option to dress it up or down easily. This one is just perfect! The bomber is bold and the maxi skirt has a double split giving it some pizazz. My v-neck cami creates a perfect shape for layered necklaces while opening up a very “covered up” outfit. You could obviously put on a wedge or heel with this look but the other option is a sneaker (my Chuck’s duh!)

Leave me a comment about which shoe YOU would put on with this look, enjoy!

Plaid Off The Shoulder Dress | OOTD

This plaid off the shoulder dress makes me feel like a complete bad ass! I feel like I’m draped in something bold which is what I live for. At first glance, this plaid off the shoulder dress just looks like it’s just, well, um, plaid! Ha ha! However, the details make this dress. Unlike most off the shoulder dresses I’ve seen, there are cool buttons down the center of the front. There is also separation of the draped fabric in the front, allowing for more movement in the dress. Now when I wear this dress I feel like I’m moving fluidly through out my day.

Last but most definitely not least is adding in the shoes and accessories. Like many of my style decisions, I ended up pair my absolute favorite pair of sneakers with this dress. You can never go wrong with Chuck Taylor’s. A faux leather jacket, sunnies, and a faux leather cross body purse and your’e unstoppable.

Leave me a comment to let me know what you think of this look. Enjoy!

Fashion Resolutions | OOTD

It’s nearly February and I am doing well on my new year improvements but I have yet to make any concrete fashion resolutions. I was recently inspired by Bonobos.com to share some of my fashion resolutions for 2017 because they’re focusing on varied textures and the perfect fit for their new collection.

Just like any other improvements, writing things down make it more visible to you and keeps you reminded of your goals. It will be nice to look back on this blog post months from now to see how I’m sticking to my plans as well as how I change through out the year.

My first fashion resolution is to include more textures into my wardrobe. I plan to do this by taking my fuzzy sweater collection to the next level. (Ha ha!) Seriously though, having a piece that is more textured and not just a cotton blend will really help add interest to an entire look. In this OOTD, a mock neck fuzzy sweater with an interesting side slit does it for me.

My second resolution is to experiment more with monochromatic looks. I love this look on others as well as myself, but I find it tough to make sure my “blacks match” Lol Outside of that color, there is a lot of room for styling similar colors together to achieve a monochromatic look with out it matching “perfectly.” I met this goal in this OOTD by choosing a pant that is a few shades darker than my sweater.

My final fashion resolution for 2017 is to consistently add in bold accessories to give my entire look a pulled together feel with flare. The bold gold earrings and rosy sunglasses make this look feel complete with a slightly retro vibe. Most popular sunnies nowadays are super reflective or completely opaque so I’m stepping outside of the box with floral print sunnies.

I’m sure it will be a challenge to consistently incorporate theses elements into my looks but I welcome it!  As always, the details for this look are listed below with links. I’d love it if you left me a comment about your fashion resolutions. Enjoy!

Natural Hair | Tuck & Pin Style

I have had my box braids out for a while now and because of the length of my hair I have had to become very creative with my hair styles. It is sort of an awkward stage when it’s not long enough for some things and not short enough to just leave it alone and wear it as is.

I would classify this look as a tuck & pin style. Tuck & pins are great for any hair length and every hair stays put because of all of the bobby pins you’ll use. To begin, I blew my hair out with my blowdryer.  After it was stretched, I began at the very front in the center of my hair with a light braid/twist. Once each braid/twist is done, secure it with a bobby pin. Start on the right, twist and pin to the opposite side. Then move to the opposite side of your head and repeat. Continue this pattern until you reach the desired place you’d like to stop. Then use the same left to right pattern to braid out the remaining hair. Tuck it under and secure it with a bobby pin. It takes less than five minutes to do and people won’t believe that you did it yourself.

Leave me a comment about your favorite tuck & pin style. Enjoy!
