Brunch Squad | OOTD

The weekend is near and with that come everyones favorite weekend activity, brunch!  Who doesn’t want to be apart of the brunch squad? It’s delicious food, day drinking and good company. I have the ideal outfit that will leave extra rom for all the food you’ll eat. Lol

I love a good graphic sweatshirt so this one is absolutely perfect for the weekends. Since weekends are all about being cute yet comfortable, casual is the way to go. For this OOTD, I took a cool graphic sweatshirt that I loved (cute tank underneath just in case I get warm), paired it with thrifted  denim shorts and topped it off with the best thing fall has to offer (a moto jacket)! On my feet are my converse because duh, they go with everything. A nice pair of sunnies for the morning drive and sitting outside and I was all set. The best thing about this look is after brunch, I can take off my shorts and crawl right into bed to sleep off all the food. Enjoy!

Victoria Dashiki | OOTD

I wore this victorian inspired dashiki in NewYork during NYFW 2016 and it made me feel like a ball of fire:untouchable and hot. The rich variations of reds, oranges and yellows give that blaze effect. It was as though I left a trail of flames in my every step. When you’re wearing the right clothing, it should make you feel invincible. I can’t tell you how many strangers loved this top and stopped me to ask about it. Every now and then, you must make a statement and on this day, I did it in this fabulously ruffled top. Enjoy!

How to Style a Slip Dress | OOTD

What’s more simple than a slip dress? It’s one piece, you put it on and you’re done! The worry comes in if you’re not sure how to style it. Here are a few tips to help get you started.

Slip dresses are extreme comfort wear almost like pajamas, so the materials tend to be on the thinner side. To keep comfortable indoors style it with a light jacket or a sweater. When you’re not wearing it just tie it around your waist or drape it over your shoulders.

When it comes to shoes you can dress it up with heels and sandals or dress it down with a pair of sneakers. Either way, it will look great.

Lastly, grab your favorite bag and a pair of sunnies and you’re ready to seize the day. What I like about this slip dress is that it has a nice print that’s not to bright or busy. I’ll be able to use it as a traditional piece for fall. It long enough to wear while I’m chasing my son around too. There is nothing worse than feeling like you shouldn’t bend over to pick up your kid because you’ll be exposed. Although it is a nice length, it has a nice slit on either side to add some interest to a simple dress.

Leave me a comment and tell me how you like to style a slip dress. Enjoy!

OOTD| T-shirt Dress

Yes it’s officially fall and the air is finally cool but this is Houston. That means you never know when it could possibly be 75-80 degrees with out much notice. This ootd is minimal and simple(my two favorite things ? ) and is super easy for a random warm Houston day. Take a t-shirt dress, and layer it with a denim/chambray shirt or even a denim jacket. For shoes you can go with ballet flats or even sneakers if you plan on being on the go. Enjoy!
