Mixing Prints | OOTD

Before I go any further, I know…I went a little print crazy here but life isn’t fun if you don’t scare yourself a little bit from time to time right?

My motivation for this look was to simply have fun and to style something edgy & bold. I love “outside of the box” looks and as I put this together it just made me giddy. This entire look is either thrifted or already in my closet so altogether it probably cost about $25. I’ve linked some very similar pieces to help you recreate this look. You can try this look in various colors just be sure that the base color is the same. In this look it’s reds. I hope you go for it and have as much fun wearing it as I did. I guess I can call myself the “Print Gangster” now. Lol

Enjoy!

Fall Floral | OOTD

Lately the thrifting gods have been on my side! I thrifted this AMAZING dark floral print midi skirt just in time for fall and it only cost me $7.

I could see the bold print from a mile away and I was attracted to it like a magnet. When I started putting this look together I kept fall in mind by pairing a dark colored top and motorcycle jacket.

Having staple pieces in your wardrobe is essential because it helped me bring this “pricey looking” OOTD together for $7. They only thing I actually purchased was the skirt. I already had my black button down, heels, moto jacket, and my sunnies. Now that what I call looking fab for less.

Leave me a comment and tell me about your thrifting adventures. Enjoy!

Cool in Culottes

Culottes are like when a pair of pants, shorts and a skirt get together and have a baby! Ha ha! They are loose and cool but not stuffy like a traditional pair of pants. They don’t leave you feeling exposed like skirts can sometimes. Finding the right pair can be tricky but once you do, they will be a spring and summer favorite.

I styled these white culottes with a bright red orange top that I picked up from a thrift shop for $4 bucks about two years ago. What style experts say about timeless pieces is true. The shirt is from the 90’s but is 100% silk and is in great condition. Red orange is definitely a spring and summer trend this year so I was glad to already have it.

Lastly, I added a leopard print belt (LOVE leopard prints!!!!) and my fancy bow pumps. My belt and shoes make an other wise forgettable outfit stand out and memorable. When you keep pieces simple you can go crazy with the little things that matter! The purses that you see here are from Milan Blocks and you can mix and match them easily with a simple outfit. They are so fun that you will want them to be the center of attention when you go out! What interesting things do you like to add to simple outfits to make it stand out? Leave me comment and let me know, Enjoy!

Jump for Jumpers!

You will not believe where I got this jumper and what it cost me! GOODWILL, $7!!!!

This is probably the most comfortable and least expensive OOTD that I have done so far. One Sunday a few weeks ago we were out thrifting and we stopped by Goodwill. As I’m walking around thinking that I won’t find anything, I see a GW associate hang a garment on the dress rack. It caught my eye because it looked too lumpy to be a dress and it was a really rich black. Most things are faded once they get to Goodwill so I had to go check it out.

When I got closer I could tell it was a jumper. I inspected it for rips and tears to find out that it was in perfect condition.I fancy jumpers and rompers because it’s so easy to put on one piece and a pair of shoes then run out of the door. They just fit my life. I love the sheer details on the shoulder and the metal hardware on the collar, drawstring, and sleeves. The fabric is really light and breathable. It was a really warm day when I wore it for the first time and I wasn’t hot at all.

Next time your’e out shopping, stop by a thrift store. You never know what treasures you might stumble upon. Enjoy!

Thrifted Love| OOTD

I’m not sure if I have mentioned this before but I absolutely love leopard prints! This outfit gives me a “clean slate” to put all of my leopard accessories with. While I was out having lunch with my husband a few days ago we stopped by a thrift store. I thrifted this top for 4.50 and the shorts for $5.00. Both of these items for under $10!?!?! So awesome right?!

The shirt is a size 10 but looks great tucked into a high waisted bottom. The shorts actually started out as pants. I have been wanting a pair of high waisted shorts that aren’t too short. I definitely don’t want my cheeks hanging out but nowadays it’s tough to find that combination. This older denim provides me with HUGE deep pockets, a high waist, and adjustable length. Everything I wanted! Don’t you love when that happens? Me too!

To spice everything up I went for my leopard print belt, leopard bracelet, Charm Envy nail bracelet and my A+B necklace. My go to brown purse and wedge heels were the icing on the cake. I just love when a look comes together 🙂 Today is Earth Day so try your hand at a cool thrifted look as a way to reuse, reduce, and recycle. Enjoy!
